My Personal Blog

I am interested in photography. Most of the photos are taken by phone. Here is a gallery (feel free to click the right arrow and navigate):

For music hobby, unlike most of young people, I prefer to enjoying old-fashioned songs. Here is a brief (rough) list of my favorite songs:

  • Can’t Help Falling in Love (Elvis Presley, 1961).

  • Blowing in the Wind (Bob Dylon, 1963).

  • Sound of Silence (Simon & Garfunkel, 1965).

  • Yesterday (The Beatles, 1965).

  • What a Wonderful World (Louis Armstrong, 1967).

  • Take Me Home, Country Roads (John Denver, 1967).

  • Your Song (Elton John, 1970).

  • This Masquerade (The Carpenters, 1973).

  • Bohemian Rhapsody (The Queen, 1975).

  • Desperado (Eagles, 1976).

  • How Deep Is Your Love (Bee Gees, 1977).

  • Dust in the Wind (Kansas, 1977).

  • All out of Love (Air Supply, 1980).

  • We Are the World (U.S.A for Africa, 1985).

  • The Greatest Love of All (Whitney Houston, 1986).

  • Take a Bow (Madonna, 1994).

  • Viva La Vida (Coldplay, 2008).

My hobbies also include playing the piano and Chinese calligraphy.

As for literature, I am adept at writing Chinese classical poems (particularly Tang poetry and Song Ci). When it comes to English literature, I like Shakespeare's literature and Tagore's poetries. Two favorite Tagore's quotations here:

“I leave no trace of wings in the air, but I am glad that I had my flight.”

“Let life be beautiful like summer flowers and death like autumn leaves.”

As an ending paragraph, I would like to quote my favorite poem that I believe many of readers might have heard before:

"To see a world in a grain of sand

And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour."
